Executive Director, Change Management (Adobe)

United States

WHY DEPT®?

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.

We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.

At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.

THE ROLE:

DEPT is seeking a transformative executive to build, lead, and scale our Americas Change Management & Business Process Consulting capability within the Adobe practice. This is a pivotal leadership role designed for a senior advisor who sits at the intersection of people, process, and technology.

The Executive Director of Change Management will be our chief evangelist and C-suite advisor, responsible for architecting the human-side of large-scale digital transformations. This role will own the change management strategy and delivery methodology for our most complex client programs centered on the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Content Supply Chain (CSC), and Adobe Commerce suites.

You will not only lead client engagements but also build the practice itself—defining our point of view, mentoring a team of change management strategists, functional leads, and integrating rigorous, data-driven change management into the core of our technical delivery. This role demands a unique blend of formal Prosci-based change methodology, deep business process re-engineering expertise, and a strategic understanding of how the Adobe ecosystem transforms marketing, commerce, and customer experience operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

1. Transformation Delivery & Methodology Excellence

  • Hands-on Client Transformation Leadership: Act as the lead transformation executive on cornerstone client accounts, remaining hands-on with the program team to translate the client's strategic vision into a tangible, delivered reality within their organization.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Provide executive oversight and quality assurance for a portfolio of large-scale Adobe transformation programs. Act as the ultimate escalation point for all change-related risks and stakeholder challenges.
  • Business Process Re-engineering: Lead teams in conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' current-state marketing, content, and commerce operations. Design and document future-state processes, roles, and governance models required to unlock the full value of the Adobe investment.
  • Integrated Change Strategy: Architect comprehensive, multi-year change management strategies that go beyond training. This includes stakeholder mapping, organizational impact analysis, resistance management plans, and executive communication cascades.
  • Adoption & Value Realization: Define the key metrics (KPIs) and measurement framework to track organizational readiness, adoption, and long-term value realization, ensuring change is sustainable post-go-live.

2. C-Suite Advisory & Executive Engagement

  • Trusted Advisor: Serve as the primary change management advisor and executive sponsor for our most strategic clients. Engage directly with C-suite stakeholders (CMO, CCO, CIO) to secure buy-in, manage expectations, and navigate complex organizational politics.
  • Executive Visioning: Lead executive-level visioning workshops and steering committee meetings, translating the technical capabilities of AEP, CSC, and Commerce into tangible business value, new operating models, and clear ROI.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Leverage exceptional presentation and storytelling skills to communicate complex transformation roadmaps, organizational impacts, and strategic recommendations to executive audiences.

3. Business Development & Thought Leadership

  • Sales Partnership: Act as the senior subject matter expert in client pursuits. Partner with the sales and solution engineering teams to scope change management workstreams, develop compelling proposals, and pitch our unique value proposition.
  • Intellectual Property: Develop thought leadership white papers and industry perspectives on the intersection of change management and Adobe-led digital transformation.
  • External Eminence: Represent DEPT at industry conferences (e.g., Adobe Summit) and executive roundtables as a leader in digital transformation and change.

4. Practice Leadership & Strategic Vision

  • Define the Practice: Architect, build, and lead the Change Management & Process Consulting practice for the Adobe portfolio in collaboration with the Executive Director, Delivery (Adobe).
  • Own the Methodology: Establish and refine DEPTs change management framework, integrating Prosci/ADKAR principles with Agile delivery and business process re-engineering. Create the standards, templates, and best practices that ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all engagements.
  • Team & Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of change management and transformation leaders. Foster a culture of excellence, advisory, and continuous learning, managing senior-level direct reports.
  • Operational & Financial Acumen: Partner with practice leadership on P&L management, resource forecasting, and utilization to ensure the practice is healthy and scalable.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 12-15+ years of progressive experience in organizational change management, management consulting, and digital transformation.
  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership role at a "Big 4" or equivalent global consulting firm, with a proven track record of building and leading a practice or large team.
  • Active Prosci certification (or equivalent) and demonstrated mastery of the ADKAR model and other formal change management methodologies.
  • Deep strategic understanding of the Adobe Experience Cloud, particularly the business value and operational impact of AEP (RT-CDP, AJO, CJA), Adobe Commerce, and the Content Supply Chain (Workfront, AEM, Firefly).
  • Proven ability to command a room, build consensus, and communicate with C-level executives with confidence and clarity.
  • Extensive experience in business process mapping, analysis, and re-engineering, specifically related to marketing operations, content workflows, and digital commerce.
  • Direct, hands-on functional experience with key Adobe products (AEM, Workfront, AEP, Adobe Commerce).
  • Official Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) or Master (ACM) certifications.
  • Deep industry specialization in Retail, Financial Services, Healthcare, or B2B.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or related Master’s degree is strongly preferred.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
