
Engineering Manager, Mechanical Engineering Delivery
As the Engineering Manager, Mechanical Engineering Delivery, you’ll lead a customer-aligned team of Mechanical Engineers (MEs) and Project Engineers (PEs), guiding engineering execution from project handoff through closeout. You’ll operate at the intersection of people leadership, customer alignment, and delivery excellence, ensuring teams are clear, supported, and positioned for success.
Your team is responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet customer requirements on time and on budget. Project Engineers serve as the primary connection between engineering, project management, purchasing, and the customer, owning schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Mechanical Engineers bring designs to life through detailed equipment design, reviews, drawings, procurement support, and as-built documentation.
In this role, you’ll create alignment across disciplines, remove obstacles for your team, and proactively plan ahead, all while serving as a key member of the Engineering Delivery Leadership Team. Your leadership directly impacts customer trust, team engagement, and delivery outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Lead and develop people
- Manage and grow a customer-aligned team of Mechanical and Project Engineers
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and proactive planning
- Coach and mentor engineers to strengthen technical excellence and delivery discipline
Drive customer alignment
- Build a deep understanding of customer standards, expectations, and processes
- Serve as the engineering escalation point for your assigned customer vertical
- Partner closely with Program Engineers to ensure engineering output aligns with customer needs
Own engineering delivery
- Oversee mechanical engineering execution from project handoff through closeout
- Ensure schedules, budgets, and quality commitments are met
- Own engineering resourcing decisions for aligned customer projects
- Support and review pre-contract engineering estimates and schedules
Improve how work gets done
- Monitor progress, identify risks early, and implement mitigation strategies
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering delivery processes and tools
- Track and report performance metrics for engineering execution within your vertical

We’re Excited About You Because
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- You bring 7+ years of engineering or project management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- You’ve led customer-specific engineering work on complex projects
- You’re a strong people leader who builds trust and develops teams
- You’re organized, decisive, and comfortable managing competing priorities
- You communicate clearly with engineers, leaders, and customers
