We are looking for a Paid Media Lead to oversee and drive media strategy, planning and management services for clients that run marketing campaigns supported by paid media. The paid media team is part of the Social, Content, and Media Practice at Designit and provides consulting and managed service across social, display and video, search, programmatic, affiliate, and out of home.

The Paid Media Lead is an expert across media channels and ad platforms, understanding their role in the customer journey. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with strong communication skills who can collaborate with team members, client stakeholders, and cross-functional leaders. The successful candidate will oversee media strategy, planning, buying, campaign execution, and performance tracking.

Additionally, this role plays a key part in shaping New Business Opportunities (NBOs) by actively contributing to pitches, scoping projects, and developing media campaign strategies. The ideal candidate excels in crafting compelling proposals, presenting executive summaries, and making strategic media recommendations that align with business objectives.

  • Lead a team of Paid Media Channel Managers and Specialists, guiding them in the planning and execution of various media channels including social, search, display, and streaming TV, ensuring prompt and high-quality delivery that exceeds client expectations.
  • Develop comprehensive paid media strategies aligned with overarching campaign goals and objectives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all paid media-related inquiries, tasks, and projects.
  • Stay updated on evolving media consumption trends, targeting techniques, and audience insights across different platforms, providing informed recommendations on channel selection to achieve campaign KPIs.
  • Utilize insights from the Strategy team, including competitive analyses, market opportunities, personas, and customer journey maps, to shape paid media strategies.
  • Maintain oversight of workflow efficiency, productivity, and quality control across all paid media deliverables, including strategy development, media planning and buying, campaign pacing, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Analytics team to address tagging and tracking requirements, database management, and performance dashboard needs. Translate data into actionable insights to enhance future campaign performance.
  • Provide occasional support in campaign setup and launch activities, such as creating insertion orders, configuring account settings, uploading creative assets, and implementing UTMs for tracking purposes.
  • Lead the development of strategic media recommendations and proposals for new business opportunities, ensuring a compelling value proposition for potential clients.
  • Present executive summaries and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and marketing goals.
  • Develop and refine scoping frameworks and campaign strategies for new business opportunities, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

We would like you to have…

  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in executing paid media and/or integrated marketing campaigns, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing media strategies for clients with multi-million-dollar annual budgets.
  • Proficiency in planning, overseeing, and evaluating performance across a minimum of three of the following channels: programmatic, connected TV, digital audio, social media, search engines, or direct media partnerships.
  • Familiarity with Google Marketing Platform tools such as Google Data Studio, Campaign Manager, and Display & Video 360.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role, involving leadership, mentorship of team members, cultivation of collaborative work culture, and successful task delegation to accomplish project goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple intricate projects and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong aptitude for collaboration and cross-functional engagement.
  • Experience in shaping and securing New Business Opportunities (NBOs), including crafting proposals, presenting to executive stakeholders, and developing strategic recommendations.
  • Agency experience is a must.
  • Ability to travel a few times annually.

Compensation Range:  $118,000 - $120,000 annually

This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
