Position Overview:

Diligent’s Engineering/Business Technology group is looking for a Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager to join its team. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Business Technology Program Management. This team supports business-critical systems implementations and programs across both front-office (Sales, Sales Ops, Customer Success, Customer Support) and back-office (HR, Finance, Legal, Technology, Security, Product) functions.

This role will work directly with stakeholders across the business including functional business leaders as well as engineers and management to lead business process improvement, completion of business-critical projects, build project management competency within the broader team, complete various administration and operations tasks, and evolve PMO processes including reporting and tracking of projects. This role will work with teammates and stakeholders located in global time zones including US Pacific, US Eastern, Ireland, UK, Budapest and Bangalore. It is expected that on occasion meetings will be held outside of the standard business hours of the applicant’s time zone.   

Key responsibilities: 

  • Management of process improvement initiatives for engineering and business technology related functions 
  • Serve as the main point of contact for driving tech and engineering projects including leading of requirements elicitation, business case development, stakeholder management, ownership of weekly project status meetings, project updates, and project risks and dependencies 
  • Management of projects and process improvement involving the following process areas:  business process automation, incident reduction and management, AWS cost optimization, network and systems monitoring, procurement, and others 
  • Coordination with functional business leads and engineers to drive projects from inception to completion 
  • Management of day-to-day activities ensuring tasks are completed on time, within scope and budget 
  • Work with business leaders to identify business process gaps, ideate through improvements and develop detailed plan for improvement implementation 
  • Tracking of projects post-implementation to assess business ROI against expected outcomes 
  • Direction and vision setting for projects and ability to align functional groups on project priorities 
  • Assist Senior Manager with building of strong relationships with front-office and back-office leaders through project work and business process improvement 
  • Assist Senior Manager with evolution of engineering and tech’s communications and project reporting programs including authoring and delivery of project reports virtually and during meetings 

 

Required Experience/Skills: 

  • 3+ years of business experience in the fields of analysis and/or project management 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, computer science or related field (or pursuit of advance degree in a related field) 
  • Comfortable organizing and leading meetings with a broad group of stakeholders including executives 
  • Comfortable leading projects with a broad group of stakeholders including executives 
  • General familiarity with engineering and business tech systems (AWS, Cortex, Okta, Atlassian suite) 
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to manage project risks through a proactive approach and RAID log management 
  • Strong work ethic 
  • Interpersonal and people management skills 
  • Knowledge of formal project management methods, techniques, and tools 
  • Strong attention to detail regarding project planning and documentation 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Task-oriented individual, capable of taking ownership of projects and bringing them to completion 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certifications or other relevant certifications/training are a plus
