Overview
DLH is seeking a highly skilled and motivated ServiceNow Engineer with expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and low-code/no-code platform development using tools like EzApps. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ServiceNow solutions that align with business objectives. This role will also involve managing ServiceNow installations, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements, and providing superior training, support, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications and services, focusing on ITSM, CMDB, and EzApps-based low-code/no-code development.
- Implement and enhance ITSM modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, and Knowledge Management.
- Develop and maintain CMDB configurations and integrations for accurate asset discovery, relationship mapping, and data governance.
- Create rational, competency-based technical designs from functional specifications.
- Build reusable components and custom scripts, workflows, and UI policies to enhance platform functionality and user experience.
- Develop custom service portal pages and widgets to support business objectives.
- Manage and oversee ServiceNow platform installations for cyber and compliance requirements.
- Create proof-of-concept applications on the ServiceNow platform to demonstrate solutions.
- Review and provide feedback on code from junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance standards.
- Develop and execute organized test plans and suites, including regression and User Access Testing (UAT).
- Control update sets for codebase transfers to test and production environments.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools and services via APIs, including REST and SOAP.
- Optimize system performance, automate processes, and implement patches and upgrades with minimal downtime.
- Create detailed documentation for design, development, deployment, and governance.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to administrators and end-users.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve ServiceNow product issues.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

8+ years of experience with ServiceNow administration and development.

Experience with EzApps or equivalent low-code/no-code ServiceNow development platforms.

ServiceNow System Administrator or Developer certification (Admin or higher).

ITIL4 Certification (preferred).

Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Expertise in scripting languages, including JavaScript, GlideScript, and PowerShell.

Experience with Flow Designer, Business Rules, and Client Scripts.

Proficiency in web technologies, including HTML, CSS, XML, and web service integrations using REST and SOAP.

Experience troubleshooting integration management, security, and application issues.

Demonstrated ability to design and implement ServiceNow solutions aligned with industry best practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Exceptional customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
Basic Compensation: $155,588.13 - $166,701.57 yearly salary
The salary offered within this range will be based on the selected candidates’ skills, experience, education, market data, and internal parity. DLH may offer other rewards that may include performance incentives and program-specific awards. An applicant’s salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
