Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator responsible for the installation and maintenance of hardware, software, system upgrades, and network accounts in support of our Pre-Installation team (PITCO). This role also includes ensuring network security, supporting interface updates, and managing local system documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems, with a focus on safeguarding system integrity and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain hardware, software, and system upgrades
- Manage network accounts and enforce network security protocols
- Conduct system loading and provisioning on Navy shipsets
- Troubleshoot and implement network security tools, including firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate.
Specific Education: Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified in 9 months.
Experience: 10 years of professional experience solving technical problems. Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance. Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts. Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards. Experience includes testing equipment to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely. Individual shall be able to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens. Should have experience in computer aided drafting (CAD), ability t prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.
Specific Experience: Five (5) years of technical experience in support of TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
Active secret clearance walking in the door, must be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
