Overview
This position will perform Material Sea Lift Command engineering support for both NIWC Atlantic facilities and shipboard.
Responsibilities
Provide technical evaluations, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs of Depot Level Repairables (DLR), L3Harris and Motorola mobile and portable communication systems.
Provide technical support.
Assist with maintaining and updating Bench Stock Repair Parts
Assist with repair demand planning for Radio Program
When necessary, provide onsite technical assistance/support
Ensure compliance with Allowance Parts Lists
Possess working knowledge of Power Amplifiers, Repeaters, and Communications Systems
Demonstrate expert experience using electronic test equipment such as (Signal Generators, Multimeters, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers) - Conduct component level repair of radio system PCB assemblies, to include soldering
Ability to perform tests on a variety of electronic equipment, including Tactical Radios such as L3HARRIS, communications equipment/systems, circuitry components, computer experience and proficient with test equipment.

Overview
DLH Corp is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to serve on a multi-disciplinary team that conducts, analyzes, and reports on findings from epidemiological and clinical studies on behalf of the federal government. The studies that we conduct focus on chronic diseases and environmental exposures. Lab technicians are the heart of our team’s business operations activities and the soul that keeps our team and our projects moving forward. Candidates with prior experience in health research or related fields are encouraged to apply. However, this position could also be an excellent opportunity for a new graduate who wants to jumpstart a career in public health in a unique collaborative culture that empowers our people to do their best work.
**This position requires on-site support at Durham, NC, 5 days per week; some Saturday work will be required.
Responsibilities
Use label-creation software and create barcoded labels to scan samples into the laboratory database.
Prepare specimens from multiple studies for long-term storage using specialized laboratory equipment, create aliquots of specimens per material type (serum, plasma, cells, urine) and study protocols.
Aliquot biological samples as instructed for various studies.
Prepare, test, and record results of quality control (QC) material as appropriate for bench processes. Insert QC samples and follow the batching and re-labeling instructions closely.
Manage Excel files for upload into a specimen database.
Pack shipments of samples for external laboratories, according to IATA regulations. This task requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Maintain equipment and supply inventories on a routine basis.
Answer lab alarms 24/7 on a rotating schedule; serve as backup on-call person for emergencies, power outages, and unanticipated freezer failure situations.
Maintain and test egress lighting, task lights, eyewash chemical inventory, first aid kit inventory, and clean and maintain freezers. Some tasks require climbing indoor stepladders and performing tasks at a height of 8-10 ft.
Coordinate communications directly with Principal Investigators and collaborators regarding inventory, specimen movements, and specimen data requests.
Communicate with groups of staff within DLH and at external facilities to manage the logistics of a specimen pull to meet required timeframes.
Develops file structures for efficient specimen and data transfer among repositories and laboratories.
Works closely with BSI technical specialist and serves as specimen inventory and BSI-II database resource for collaborators, laboratory operations manager, lab scientific director, and project managers to perform tasks across projects to meet client and project deadlines.
Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, Medical Lab technology, or related skills required.
Minimum of two years of experience doing bench research.
Previous experience working in a laboratory environment is required.
Intermediate proficiency with Excel and basic programming experience.
Basic experience using MS Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work collaboratively as well as independently.
