Responsibilities
- Oversee and enforce Configuration Management (CM) processes and standards across Navy C4I projects in compliance with Navy and contract requirements.
- Manage system configuration items and baselines, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance through audits and documentation control.
- Lead and support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and coordinate the release and approval of system updates.
- Develop and maintain CM and change management policies, aligning with Navy best practices and project objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and government stakeholders to plan, evaluate, and implement configuration changes with minimal impact on cost, schedule, or performance.
- Provide reporting and metrics on configuration status, changes, and releases to ensure leadership visibility.
- Promote a culture of disciplined CM practices and continuous improvement across all project teams.
- Support project planning and execution, contributing to scheduling, resource allocation, and performance oversight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ten (10) years of professional experience with configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management.
- The individual shall also work closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.
- The individual shall provide change management and product configuration management guidance.
