Finance Intern

London/Redhill

Role Purpose

  • Assisting the Commercial Finance teams with the management accounting for the Energy Portfolio (Europe, Asia, Africa)
  • Working with the Commercial Finance teams to improve business efficiency and commercial decision making by enhancing management information, reporting and financial forecasting
  • Assisting the Financial controller and financial accountant with month end and financial accounting for the Energy portfolio (Europe, Asia, Africa)
  • Ensuring that processes are followed to provide and maintain a strong financial management and control environment

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Work with Finance teams to assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet packs;
  • Keep Event trackers reconciled and up to date with actual spend from Financial force on a regular basis;
  • Assisting with the reporting of weekly sales reports when required;
  • Work with the Finance teams where required on the budgeting and forecasting process across the Energy portfolio;
  • Provide quality analysis and reporting insights where required;
  • Provide support for the Financial controller and financial accountant with month end processes
  • Ensuring a strong financial control environment is maintained;
  • Carry out any reasonable project work / ad hoc task as requested;
  • Attend training and development as required;

  • University student studying accountancy related degree
  • Interest in working in a finance role

  • Able to adapt to changing circumstances re-setting priorities as necessary
