POSITION SUMMARY

This role is required to be in office 5 days a week.

Domo is looking for an Associate Product Marketing Manager with experience in go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and cross-functional alignment to ensure the customer is the primary focus. Areas of responsibility include market analysis, positioning and messaging, personas and use cases, sales playbooks, product and use case content, field enablement, launch plan ownership, analyst briefings and more. You’ll be a key driver in the marketing team and across Domo as a whole, working closely with product, sales, customer success and other marketing functions to prepare, launch and propel the Domo product set to market success across the customer lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As an important member of the Product Marketing team, you will work with others to:

  • Build deep global market understanding through research, analysis, and relationships with the Domo customer base, and monitor the global competitive landscape to inform differentiated strategy and messaging;
  • Identify target audiences, their needs, and how Domo meets those needs; create personas and be a conduit for the voice of the customer to cross-functional teams;
  • Drive awareness and understanding of Domo with clear, value-focused messaging spanning company, platform, product pillars and customer-focused use cases;
  • Work cross-functionally on go-to-market strategy to align on market segmentation, business objectives, target use cases and sales plays to propel the journey in a way that connects with customer need, compels with depth and proof, and supports customers’ value realization and ongoing preference and growth with Domo;
  • Contribute to persona-based content strategy across the pre- and post-purchase journey, develop and contribute to content to enable sales conversations that connect and carry prospects and customers through the pre- and post-purchase journey, spanning high-level value to deep technical clarity and proof;
  • Partner with product management throughout the product development process;
  • Contribute to strategy, business plans, roadmaps, and pricing and packaging;
  • Support product naming and plan and manage the product launch process, including strong internal communications to both inspire employees and enable teams;
  • Create customer-facing materials, web copy, and sales enablement to support product positioning and sales.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years in product marketing and/or product management or marketing strategy, primarily for global, B2B SaaS companies, including experience with a tech market leader or innovator serving customers that span global and national brands;
  • Experience marketing a multi-product portfolio that delivers a strong, differentiated value proposition;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and experience developing sales enablement and content to progress sales pipeline and facilitate deal close (samples will be required and assessed for clarity, flow and accuracy);
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications with a focus on business, marketing, product management or related field. MBA or related knowledge and skills will be helpful in performing the role with the right level of strategic leadership;
  • Strong sense of teamwork and the ability to work cross-functionally (services, sales, Product Management etc.) to obtain consensus on marketing projects while keeping deliverables on track.

ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS

  • Knowledge of BI, analytics or data platform industry and related technologies will be helpful;
  • Champion of product marketing frameworks, foundations, and processes to drive clarity, alignment and efficiency;
  • Demonstrated success contributing to and executing on a vision;
  • While developing a deep understanding of our products, think through the customer lens and be adept at translating technical features and capabilities into clear and concise value-based messaging: Value over Features and Use Cases over Products;
  • Data-driven marketer and love the pressure of quarterly pipeline and ACV targets and being a quick problem solver with pivot ideas to address gaps.
