POSITION SUMMARY

The Partner Ecosystem Solutions Engineer will serve as a key technical advocate, showcasing how Domo’s platform delivers added value in conjunction with leading modern data platforms. By demonstrating Domo’s unique capabilities and integrations with technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, and others, you will enable customers and partners to unlock greater insights, agility, and scalability from their data investments. This role sits at the heart of our ecosystem strategy, bridging product capabilities with partner relationships to help enterprises maximize the benefits of a combined data solution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Technical Evangelism & Demonstrations

  • Clearly articulate how Domo complements and extends capabilities of modern data platforms, highlighting use cases, value propositions, and technical advantages.
  • Conduct in-depth demos and presentations to customers and partners, focusing on the combined benefits of Domo with platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and Google BigQuery.

2. Solution Design & Architecture

  • Lead with an “architecture first” sales approach and mindset that showcases Domo’s unique capabilities in assimilating into (and driving excellence around) a broader enterprise architecture strategy (e.g. Medallion, etc.).
  • Collaborate with customers to design end-to-end architectures that integrate Domo with various cloud data warehouses and lakehouses, incorporating modern frameworks such as the medallion architecture (bronze-silver-gold layers), hub-and-spoke, data mesh, hybrid, etc.
  • Provide best-practice guidance on data ingest, transformation, and visualization within the Domo environment, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

3. Partner Ecosystem Alignment

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with partner teams (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Google Cloud) to stay informed on joint product updates, co-selling initiatives, and shared go-to-market strategies.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and joint solution workshops, ensuring consistency and technical alignment across ecosystem

4. Pre-Sales Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal sales, product, and marketing teams to influence deal strategy and deliver compelling, customized demos and proposals.
  • Collaborate with account executives to manage technical discussions, proof-of-concept engagements, and RFP responses.

5. Customer Enablement & Advocacy

  • Guide customers through implementation and best practices for getting the most out of Domo in conjunction with modern data platforms, ensuring they achieve business outcomes.
  • Provide post-implementation feedback and insights, driving continuous improvements to technical enablement assets and product features.

6. Thought Leadership & Market Insights

  • Represent Domo at industry events, webinars, and user groups, speaking on the value of a combined modern data platform and Domo solution.
  • Monitor and communicate market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies that influence integration strategies and product enhancements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

1. Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or enterprise architecture role, focusing on data and analytics solutions.

2. Technical Expertise

  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying data solutions on at least one major cloud platform (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, Oracle, IBM, or similar).
  • Proficiency in modern data architecture patterns, including medallion architecture or equivalent layered data frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and big data processing frameworks.
  • Practical familiarity with BI/analytics tools—especially Domo—and the ability to highlight how these platforms add incremental value to existing data stacks.

3. Collaboration & Communication Skills

  • Exceptional presentation and communication abilities, capable of translating technical features into clear business benefits for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (sales, product, marketing) and external partners.

4. Problem-Solving & Adaptability

  • Demonstrated success in designing custom solutions for complex technical challenges and rapidly iterating based on feedback.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast paced environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS 

1. Certifications & Training

  • Industry-recognized certifications in cloud data platforms (e.g., SnowPro, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, Google Cloud certifications) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with Domo’s product suite (cards, dashboards, dataflows) or willingness to quickly become a subject matter expert.

2. Partner Ecosystem Management

  • Past experience working with technology alliances and managing partner relationships to drive joint solutions.
  • Knowledge of co-selling and co-marketing initiatives in the enterprise software landscape.

3. Data Governance & Security

  • Understanding of data privacy regulations, security considerations, and governance frameworks relevant to cloud-based data solutions.

4. Thought Leadership

  • Established presence in professional communities, such as blogging, speaking, or contributing to industry publications related to data, analytics, or cloud technology.
