Overview: 
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Middle Office Trading Analyst to join our growing proprietary trading firm. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and accuracy of daily trading data, serving as a key link between the front office, risk, accounting, and operations teams. Your work will be critical to maintaining data integrity across the trade lifecycle and enabling the firm to make informed, high-confidence trading decisions. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily reconciliation of trades, positions, and cash balances across internal systems and external counterparties (brokers, clearing firms, exchanges). 
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve trade breaks or data discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Monitor and validate trading data across multiple asset classes, ensuring completeness and accuracy. 
  • Partner closely with front office traders, risk, technology, and finance teams to support trade flow and ensure alignment across all business functions. 
  • Maintain and enhance processes and controls to ensure trading data is consistent, timely, and audit-ready. 
  • Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of middle office tools, reports, and workflows. 
  • Escalate operational issues or control gaps as needed to mitigate risk. 
  • Assist with ad hoc data analysis, reporting, and projects as required. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in a trading operations, middle office, or trade support role, ideally within a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or investment bank. 
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments and trade lifecycle processes. 
  • Proven experience working with trading and reconciliation systems; familiarity with OMS/EMS and market data feeds is a plus. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across functional teams in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Python, SQL, or other data tools is a plus.
