Event Marketing Manager

*must be able to work in our Coppell, TX office 3 days/week and travel ~20%*

Jack Morton is seeking a passionate and dynamic Event Marketing Manager (internal title: Regional Market Manager) to ensure that all aspects of larger, more complex experiential marketing projects within our South Central Region are successfully delivered to our automotive client. 

Responsibilities:

Client Management & Leadership

  • Build and maintain effective client relationships, including a clear line of communication to ensure all client’s needs are heard, understood and addressed in a timely way
  • Ensure clear communication to the client regarding roles and responsibilities, scope, budget, schedules, reporting, and maintain project status/action items
  • Work with Jack Morton team to bring innovative programs and solutions, and marketing best practices to client business

Project Delivery & Team Management 

  • Ensure all projects are planned and executed flawlessly and that a post-event results summary is completed and delivered to the client
  • Ensure regular team meetings and manage communications between team members, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Coach and oversee junior team members on execution of all individual job details

Budget Management

  • Manage project budget, ensuring revenue of assigned scope is captured
  • Oversee reconciliation of costs against budget

Creative Management

  • Ensure that the client needs are solved by the project deliverables
  • Participate in creative brainstorms to generate ideas for the clients
  • Ensure that a measurement metric is in place

  • Flawless delivery of client commitments, exceeding client expectations
  • Positive team climate that inspires others to excel and deliver
  • Seen as a valuable leader of project and client teams
  • Strict and thorough budget management

What we require:

  • 4 plus years of marketing/client services experience
  • Strong project management, organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in planning events, negotiating and giving presentations strongly preferred
  • Willing to travel up to 20% and work weekends if necessary
  • Some leadership / people management experience is a plus
  • Automotive industry experience a plus
