Why this role

Due to a promotion in our People & Culture department we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented HR Business partner to join the team.

Working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and complex environment the purpose of this role is to support business stakeholders with all people related elements across the employee lifecycle.

Leveraging a detailed understanding and experience of employee relations, the HR Business Partner provides expert and trusted advice, guidance and direction across a broad range of areas including performance management, learning & development, cultural initiatives and immigration. This role also supports the implementation of the people strategy and relevant P&C projects.

What you will do:

As a key member of our HR Business Partner community and reporting to the HR Manager you'll play a critical role through the support and trusted advice you provide to stakeholders in our Finance, Marketing and Operations teams. In addition, you will support the execution of people initiatives as well as driving P&C functional excellence and process improvement.

Employee Relations

  • Act as the point of contact for employee relations cases, escalating when necessary to the HR Manager
  • Coach managers through investigations; providing effective, actionable feedback
  • Provide trusted advice, supporting managers with challenging conversations, ensuring decisions are based on awareness of all associated people risks, and those issues are handled fairly and with due process
  • Keep abreast of employment legislation to accurately guide managers

People Strategy and Projects

  • Assist in the development and execution of the People Strategy, completing relevant project work to bring the strategy to life throughout the year
  • Contribute to and drive key People initiatives, including the annual engagement survey, goal setting and performance review, promotions, engagement/retention strategies and organisational design
  • Be proactive, providing ideas and suggestions, taking a lead role on projects

Immigration

  • Act as the escalation point for visa or immigration queries from both employees and the P&C team
  • Keeping up to date with immigration legislative changes
  • Ensuring visa databases are up to date and that budgets are managed/signed off

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor of Human Resources
  • Proven experience in HR Business Partnering with a track record in managing complex Employee Relations situations
  • Exceptional stakeholder management expertise positively engaging Executives, senior leaders and the broader employee population
