Your Responsibilities:
As a Legal and Compliance Senior Officer Latam, you will work in legal and compliance, interacting with AML, audit, accounting, finance, marketing, and others, ensuring alignment with Latam regulatory regimes. Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Colombian gaming regulations.
- Manage gaming licenses and regulatory filings with Coljuegos.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including operator agreements, software licenses, sponsorship deals, and payment processing agreements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate non-disclosure agreements, data processing agreements, and service terms.
- Provide day-to-day legal advice on matters related to company operations.
- Develop and communicate creative solutions and mitigation strategies for key negotiations.
- Work closely with business teams to ensure compliance in launching new products, features, and promotions.
- Coordinate compliance efforts for products, strategies, and operational processes.
- Support the development and implementation of an effective legal compliance program.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
- Act as the main liaison with regulators, handling audits, reporting obligations, and licensing renewals.
- Train internal teams on gaming regulations and compliance best practices.
- Support the Compliance team with processes to enhance the portfolio of games.
- Assist in the license application process.
Requirements:
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Between 5 and 7 years of experience working as a corporate lawyer.
- Experience working with regulators, external auditors, and inspectors is advantageous.
- Experience interpreting and applying legislation within a corporate setting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting contracts.
- Strong knowledge of Colombian gaming and betting regulations.
- Experience working with Coljuegos and other Colombian regulatory bodies.
- Experience working with multiple Latin American countries and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with responsible gaming policies and consumer protection laws.
- Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Airtable & Intercom.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Sports & Gambling knowledge is advantageous.
- Cryptocurrency knowledge is advantageous.
- Portuguese speaker is a plus.
- Experience in the Gambling industry is advantageous.
