You’ll get the opportunity to manage the current Payments Operations team, who are responsible for monitoring the performance of payment systems, handling escalations, and ensuring that settlements are accurately processed and funds are properly managed.
Your role with us:
The ideal candidate will showcase elements of leadership and best practice with a focus on managing internal and external escalations to resolve payment issues quickly and efficiently, minimising impact to the business or customers. You will also manage settlement processes by ensuring accurate and timely execution, with proper tracking of funds across all providers.
It is critical that this hire will maintain strong relationships with third-party providers and work closely with cross-functional teams to address any operational challenges.

What you will do:
- Lead the Payments Operations team, ensuring that the team is aligned with organisational goals and effectively supporting operational tasks.
- Monitor and optimise payment system and provider performances utilising key metrics such as transaction volume, success rates, and settlement times.
- Manage internal and external escalations to resolve payment issues quickly and efficiently, minimising impact to the business or customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure smooth transaction processing and address issues proactively.
- Manage settlement processes by ensuring accurate and timely execution, with proper tracking of funds across all providers.
- Oversee process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality service whilst maintaining compliance with regulations and minimising operational risks.
What you will bring:
- Strong expertise in leadership and team management
- Previous Payment Operations experience
- Performance monitoring and reporting experience (especially in payment systems)
- Escalation management capabilities
- Successful track record of 3rd Party Vendor and Stakeholder Management
- Compliance and risk management experience
Bonus points if you also have:
- Exposure to global payments systems and products
- Payment fraud prevention and risk management experience
- Settlement process management
