JOB OVERVIEW:

At EPIC, we see marketing and sales teams to be strongly integrated together. The role of a Business Development Manager (Marketing Proposals / RFP's) supports the bridge between the activities to support driving marketing activities to sales opportunities.  We're looking for a highly dynamic Business Development Manager who, as a member of the corporate Marketing team, can optimize the sales and marketing efforts to grow aid in growing our lead generation strategies. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting growth initiatives by leveraging content development and curation throughout the company to aid in facilitating collateral, including client presentations and RFPs. Manage all MarCom deliverables including maintaining the file drive and overseeing all sales and marketing document repositories, including RFP, Intranet, File Drives and Sales & Marketing activation platforms. 

 

LOCATION: HYBRID - This role must be willing & able to work up to 3 days a week out of our Atlanta, GA (Sandy Springs) or Duluth GA offices.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • REQUIRED: Extensive experience creating RFP proposals as part of a marketing or business development team, including partnering with sales teams to wrangle the details needed to create the content, the collateral, and other presentation materials. 
  • Strongly Preferred: Experience working in the insurance industry.
  • REQUIRED: RFP platform experience; Loopio experience is strongly preferred. This role will be responsible for maintaining the RFP library, as well as becoming the platform SME to train others, encourage adoption, and help maximize the use and efficiency of platform.
  • Marketing professional with strong communication skills (written and verbal) who is adept at working with a variety of internal stakeholders to deliver results, even under tight deadlines, and be a strong partner to help teams get their proposals successfully in front of clients on time.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):

  1. Content Management: Responsible to maintaining all approved content generated by the marketing team and its distribution platforms (i.e. RFP library, intranet, sales tools), ensuring all materials are current, organized, and easily accessible. Additionally facilitate content collection of ad hoc efforts that may occur in local offices.
  2. Calendar Editorial management – being able to develop and leverage a calendar to create editorial content.
  3. RFP Management: Manage the entire RFP (Request for Proposal) process, from initial response to submission, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  4. File Drive Maintenance: Maintain and organize the file drive for Marketing Communications materials, ensuring accessibility and version control.
  5. Market Expansion: Develop and implement strategies to expand market reach and penetration, targeting new opportunities and customer segments.
  6. Revenue Target Achievement: Contribute to meeting revenue targets through effective management of growth initiatives and strategic partnerships.
  7. MarCom Deliverables: Oversee all Marketing Communications deliverables, ensuring they are aligned with brand standards and business objectives.
  8. Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze performance metrics related to growth initiatives and RFP responses, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  9. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and prepare regular reports on RFP activity, partnership development, and market expansion efforts.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING: 

 

  • A degree in marketing, business, or a related field is strongly preferred but not required
  • Insurance industry experience is strongly preferred but not required
  • Required: 4+ years' experience of creating RFP's and helping oversee the proposal process
  • Required: RFP proposal software experience. Loopio experience using Loopio strongly preferred
  • Thinks independently, strategically, and can provide meaningful recommendations
  • Highly proficient at successfully managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously, and consistently meeting deadlines
  • Strong inclination for organization, process adherence, attention to detail, editorial guidelines, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines in multiple areas
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Operate with discretion and good judgement
  • Accountable for technical accuracy, testing, and performance of their own work
  • Strong technology skills are required in presentation and other office software such as (but not limited to), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

 

 

COMPENSATION: 

The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
