Who we are:

We're transforming one of the world’s oldest industries with cutting-edge technology and an innovative approach. Backed by top-tier investors and recognized by Time as one of the "best Inventions of 2024" and Fast Company as one of 2024's "Next Big Things in Tech", Electra is scaling rapidly and we're looking for bold, driven individuals to help us reshape the future of iron production. If you're ready to make a real impact in a company that's redefining heavy industry for a cleaner, smarter world, we want to hear from you.

What you will do:

The Senior Enterprise Data & Integrations Architect is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for designing and delivering scalable, secure, and governed data integration solutions across Electra’s enterprise systems. This role is central to enabling a unified data platform—bridging applications like NetSuite, Ironclad, Coupa, and others into Snowflake and/or Microsoft Fabric for analytics, reporting, and workflow automation.

This architect will lead the development of data pipelines, middleware integrations, and data models, ensuring business-critical systems are seamlessly connected and analytics-ready. The role also provides technical leadership in the use of iPaaS platforms and collaborates closely with BI, applications, and automation teams to enable enterprise-wide digital transformation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement end-to-end data integration architectures connecting core business systems using modern iPaaS platforms (e.g., Workato, Celigo, MuleSoft, SnapLogic, Azure Logic Apps)
  • Define and enforce standards for ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring reliability, reusability, and performance
  • Lead the development of integration frameworks that support real-time, event-based, and batch data movement across systems
  • Own and evolve the enterprise data warehouse architecture using Snowflake and/or Microsoft Fabric
  • Ensure consistent modeling, transformation, and availability of data for analytics, KPIs, and BI tools
  • Optimize data ingestion, storage, and transformation strategies for cost and performance
  • Connect and maintain data flows across key SaaS systems including NetSuite (ERP), Ironclad (CLM), Coupa (P2P), Salesforce, HRIS, and operational platforms
  • Collaborate with application owners to manage APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integration models
  • Work closely with the Microsoft Developer, Modern Workplace to power workflows and Power BI dashboards with governed and trusted data
  • Partner with the Business Systems & Data Analyst team to deliver clean, documented datasets that support enterprise reporting and workflow automation
  • Help define and maintain enterprise KPIs and data models to support performance tracking and strategic decision-making
  • Establish and maintain data quality, lineage, and cataloging practices to support governance and compliance initiatives
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration jobs and data pipelines across platforms

What we need you to bring to the team (required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise data integration, data engineering, or architecture roles (excluding internships, co-ops, and other school projects)
  • Applies advanced, wide-ranging expertise in enterprise architecture, data integration, and system design to develop and implement scalable, resilient solutions aligned with business goals
  • Uses deep understanding of enterprise data models, integration principles, and cross-functional systems to solve complex, multi-dimensional problems in creative and effective ways
  • Leads the design and development of integrations using modern iPaaS or middleware platforms (e.g., Workato, Celigo, MuleSoft, SnapLogic, Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate)
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of API-based integrations (REST/SOAP), event-driven architectures, and orchestration patterns across cloud and on-prem systems
  • Proficient in data warehousing technologies (especially Snowflake and/or Microsoft Fabric), with strong SQL and data transformation skills; experience with dbt or Python is a plus
  • Builds and maintains scalable data pipelines that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational data exchange across ERP, CRM, P2P, and CLM platforms
  • Applies sound judgment to evaluate competing priorities, select appropriate methods, and adapt integration strategies to evolving technical and business contexts
  • Ensures architecture and integrations meet regulatory and privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2), with a strong focus on reliability, security, and performance
  • Communicates complex technical topics effectively to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders, executives, and cross-functional partners
  • Collaborates across departments to guide the development of data policies, integration standards, and enterprise-wide best practices
  • Navigates ambiguous or evolving environments—common in clean tech, manufacturing, or energy startups—with adaptability, resourcefulness, and business acumen
  • Networks with key internal and external partners to influence decision-making, share knowledge, and continuously improve architectural approaches

What we want you to bring to the team (preferred):

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise data integration, data engineering, or architecture roles (excluding internships, co-ops, and other school projects)
  • Experience integrating core enterprise SaaS systems such as NetSuite, Coupa, Ironclad, Salesforce, and HRIS platforms using modern iPaaS or middleware tools
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and integrations in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments, especially in regulated industries like manufacturing, clean energy, or life sciences
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in IT, operations, legal, and finance to deliver data solutions that meet business objectives
  • Familiarity with KPI definition and metric governance, supporting executive reporting and performance management initiatives
  • Strong technical skills in SQL, dbt, and data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional, 3NF, data vault)
  • Experience documenting data lineage, architecture diagrams, and integration workflows using tools such as Lucidchart or Draw.io
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD practices for data and integration pipelines, leveraging tools like Git, Azure DevOps, or dbt Cloud

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
