Eliot’s Intimate Partner Abuse Education Program (IPAEP) is a 40-week, court mandated and self-referred program that provides educational intervention services to individuals convicted of and/or who are abusing their intimate partners. Group intervention is considered the most effective approach to change the behavior of domestic violence perpetrators. The program assists individuals in recognizing and accepting responsibility for abusive behaviors and learning non-violent alternatives.
The ideal Candidate for the Partner Contact Specialist approaches each interaction with empathy, professionalism, and a strong understanding of the dynamics of intimate partner abuse. They prioritize safety and confidentiality while providing information and resources to partners of program participants. Through skilled communication and advocacy, they help bridge the gap between intervention services and victim support.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the program’s point of contact for the domestic violence victim.
- Provide program information and resources for the victim, to include connection to the local domestic violence agency that provides confidential support services.
- Gather confidential information about the perpetrator, concerns, issues and other related information.
- Provide on-going contact with the victim as needed.
- Advocate for the victim assisting with safety planning and support.
Qualifications:
- At least one year experience working in the domestic violence field.
- Must have successfully completed or ability to complete a domestic violence service agency training.
- Must have a strong understanding of trauma informed care and the complex dynamics of abuse.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish are eligible for a 6% wage increase.
Schedule: Varies, Fee-for-Service role, fully remote.

$40 - $40 USD
