ROLE OVERVIEW:

Are you a creative, organized, and driven marketing professional ready to make a meaningful impact? We’re looking for a Development & Marketing Coordinator to support our marketing, fundraising, and community engagement efforts. In this dynamic role, you’ll help amplify Vista Del Mar’s mission by coordinating our digital presence, managing donor outreach, and keeping our Development team running smoothly behind the scenes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 2+ years of event and/or marketing experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Experience managing social media, website updates, and email marketing tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for mission-driven work and a collaborative, can-do attitude!

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinate website updates, manage outside vendors, and collaborate with other departments to maintain and update web content.
  • Provide comprehensive event support by creating forms and reports, assisting with agency and internal events, and coordinating logistics such as catering and AV setup.
  • Oversee office supplies, organization, and department space; manage phones, messages, and calendars while coordinating with agency-wide scheduling; assist with managing department accounts payable.
  • Manage outgoing communications via platforms like Constant Contact and Mailchimp by collecting content, maintaining schedules, and creating targeted messages.
  • Assist with social media activities, including content creation, posting or overseeing posts, monitoring and reporting monthly activity, developing strategies to increase online presence, and overseeing Vista Del Mar's presence on additional online platforms and social venues.
  • Manage tribute acknowledgments with a 24-hour turnaround, ensure prompt communication and data sharing, and apply creative strategies to promote the tribute program.
  • As needed, assist with posting financial data and other relevant data to donor tracking program

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
  • Experience with Constant Contact, Mailchimp (or similar platforms)
  • Office management and receipt tracking
  • Event logistics
  • Website coordination and vendor management

EDUCATION: BA Degree preferred not mandatory.

Hourly Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
