The Role

We're hiring a Head of Partnerships focused entirely on the SMB ecosystem. You will own the end-to-end strategy for identifying, signing, and scaling partnerships that drive value for SMB customers. You'll work closely with our product and growth teams to co-build solutions that deepen impact on both sides of each partnership. This role is for someone who can operate at the strategic level while still getting hands-on with the work.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the full partnership lifecycle from sourcing and outreach to negotiation, activation, and ongoing account health.
  • Identify and prioritize companies with existing SMB customer bases and strong co-build potential with Emergent.
  • Collaborate with product to shape integration and co-development roadmaps that create real value for SMB end users.
  • Define and track partnership KPIs across pipeline, signed agreements, activated revenue, and retention.
  • Represent Emergent at SMB-focused events and partner summits.
  • Work cross-functionally with growth, marketing, and engineering to ensure partners are successfully onboarded and supported.
  • Build the playbooks and frameworks that will scale as the team grows.

What We're Looking For:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in partnerships or business development at high-growth tech or SaaS companies.
  • Deep understanding of the SMB buyer: how they evaluate tools, adopt products, and expand usage over time.
  • Proven track record of closing and scaling partnerships with measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience at an AI SaaS company or a platform that sells into SMBs is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to move fast, build from scratch, and operate with a high degree of ownership.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to represent Emergent in high-stakes partner conversations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
