Vice President Clinical Operations
Location: Remote | USA | Travel Required
Responsibilities and Duties
The Sr. Director/Vice President, Clinical Operations will be responsible for strategically leading, managing, and scaling the fulfillment of Lantern’s Emerging Products (Cancer Care, Infusions, and future products). You will report to the Chief Medical Officer and work closely with the VP of Emerging Products and other leaders. This role will oversee clinical and non-clinical teams, driving operational excellence and ensuring the highest standards for our members’ experience. The ideal candidate has robust experience in healthcare operations, with a strong preference for backgrounds in high-growth healthcare organizations, and experience in strategy/management consulting.
Operational Leadership & Excellence:
- Manage daily operations for clinical and non-clinical care teams, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality patient experiences.
- Develop, implement, and optimize workflows, standard operating procedures, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Implement centralized reporting to capture patient data, workflow efficiencies, and overall outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through rigorous performance tracking and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with clinical, strategy, product, technology, analytics, and marketing teams to enhance operational capabilities, optimize staffing ratios and improve member outcomes.
- Support client’s during implementation and ongoing.
People & Team Management:
- Directly lead, mentor, and develop clinical operations teams including clinical navigators, care advocates, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, compassion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Define and implement team-level KPIs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Financial & Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the clinical operations budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor financial performance, resource utilization, and operational costs, implementing strategies to enhance financial efficiency and improve gross margins.
Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure operations meet and exceed all regulatory, compliance, and patient safety standards.
- Implement robust audit, quality measurement, improvement, and reporting systems to ensure transparency and accountability.
Strategic Development & Execution:
- Work alongside strategy leadership to ensure strategic and operational alignment.
- Establish scalable processes and systems, anticipating growth and evolving patient care demands.
- Implement and execute against strategic plan in support of organizational goals.

Must Haves
- 2+ years of management consulting experience required, ideally from a top-tier strategy consulting firm.
- 7+ years of experience in direct operational leadership roles, preferably within healthcare delivery, case management, digital health, or a related high-growth industry.
- Proven experience building, leading, and scaling healthcare operations teams.
- Experience developing and implementing operational quality programs that deliver improvement.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do the work while also leading a team.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, capable of synthesizing complex data into actionable strategies.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational leadership abilities.
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient-centered care and enhancing healthcare delivery systems.
- Intellectual horsepower and curiosity.
- Drive, ambition, urgency, comfort with a fast pace.
- Autonomous, self-starter.
- Big picture thinking, but comfort with the detail.

Highly Desirables
- MBA or other advanced degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
- Prior experience with cancer care programs, digital health platforms, or healthcare navigation.
- Background in early-stage or high-growth companies, demonstrating flexibility, innovation, and resourcefulness.
