Training Manager
This position will report to the Director of Training and Knowledge Management. This position will be a people leader and will lead a group of trainers responsible for new hire, refresher and other training focused on team development. This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.
Location: Dallas, Texas | Onsite position
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development of all Member Service related training and content
- Designs, plans, and implements training programs, policies, and procedures.
- Manages the team responsible for the design and development of training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners.
- Oversees skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements.
- Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum.
- Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Provides outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs.
- Participates in the selection of software or collaboration tools used for training. Establishes metrics used to evaluate training effectiveness and analyzes outcomes to determine ROI and recommend changes to programs. May select and manage vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department.
Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. - Collaborates with functional teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs and the effectiveness of established programs.
- Research new training techniques and suggests enhancements to existing training programs to meet the organization's changing needs.
- Engages with vendors providing supplemental training programs or training content. Ensures that training resources and delivery methods are kept up to date and are effective.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Member Services/Customer Services, preferably in the health care industry
- 1-2+ years of experience in project management and content development
- Strong experience with excel and project management software
- Advanced knowledge of content creation and development
- Experience with articulate 360 and/or Kahoot 360 pro
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to work independently or in a group.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Flexibility and openness to change.
- Communicating clearly and concisely to individuals from various backgrounds
- Influencing others in both verbal and written mediums
