Engineering Project Delivery Manager

Position Description
Scope and Engineering Changes: Manage project scope and coordinate engineering changes with the end client and ENSCO engineering team.
Customer Relationships: Build and maintain excellent relationships and expectations with customers from award to final delivery.
Project Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, achieving customer acceptance.
Technical Competence: Develop a deep understanding of ENSCO systems and software to effectively manage and deliver projects.
Qualifications Required (Skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in project management, particularly with technical hardware.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project Management, Engineering Management, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience with managing project finances using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with technology such as sensors and signal processing, machine vision and machine learning, and internet-of-things type technology.
- Proven working experience with documentation management and documentation control.
- Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office software suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be able to climb a 15-foot-high ladder to gain access to railroad cars.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to travel internationally.
The selected candidate may be required to submit to fingerprinting, drug screening, and additional background investigations in connection with this position. Wearing safety equipment (hardhat, steel-toe boots, protective vest and protective eyeglasses) when working on railroad properties is also a requirement. ENSCO will provide all necessary safety equipment.
Qualifications Desired
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- Past experience with rail inspection technologies and/or rail inspection vehicles or in the transportation industry is a plus.
- Experience with delivery of rail bound vehicles and their unique requirements.
- PMP certification preferred.
- 7+ years of Project Management experience.
- Field experience working with, troubleshooting and delivering hardware systems.
- Familiarity with big data analytics and enterprise data management systems.
- Knowledge of autonomous sensor deployment and AI-driven machine vision.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a technical project management setting.
