About the role (What you'll be doing)
- Taking ownership of end-to-end in-house payroll processing of fortnightly payroll for AU companies in accordance with awards, agreements, company policies and legislation in appropriate timeframes.
- Proactive in collating global payroll inputs and submitting updates to third-party vendors with effective instructions and within the required timelines.
- Collaborate with team managers, review and process employee timesheet for payroll.
- Manage compliance filings related taxes, contributions and benefits.
- Prepare Australian payroll tax and superannuation calculation for lodgement.
- Prepare Australian payroll year-end STP income statement lodgement and reconciliation.
- Perform month-end leave balance reconciliation and report.
- Support month-end activities and payroll reports.
- Collaborate with People, Legal and Finance team and maintain system data to ensure employee personnel files and transaction records remain up to date.
- Respond to employee and manager queries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support the deliveries of team objectives and cross-functional projects

- The ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Experience required
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a relevant role (Payroll administration or Payroll Officer)
- Proven experience on end-to-end payroll processing and compliance reporting.
- Experience with APAC (AU, Philippines or Japan) or EMEA (UK, Germany, Irish) payroll is
- advantageous.
- Strong analysis skills with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
Bonus points for
- Hands-on experience with payroll, HRIS or finance systems using Keypay, Deputy, BambooHR or NetSuite.
- Experience working in a multi-company group environment
