About the role

As an Associate SDET at Everway, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of neurotechnology software that impacts millions of lives globally. You won't just be "checking boxes"; you will be a quality advocate embedded within the development lifecycle, championing a Shift-Left approach to catch issues before they ever reach a build.

Working within the Software Quality Department, you will collaborate daily with developers and product managers to ensure our software is inclusive, accessible, and robust. Whether you are writing unit tests, conducting deep-dive exploratory sessions, or experimenting with AI-powered testing tools, your work will directly contribute to a world where everyone has the tools to thrive

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end (E2E) automated tests. This includes maintaining existing Selenium tests while leading the charge on new feature coverage in Playwright.
  • Work alongside developers, product managers, and QA peers to understand requirements and deliver effective test coverage.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration test suites to validate core application logic, APIs, and components.
  • Conduct manual exploratory testing to identify defects that automated scripts may miss and address usability concerns.
  • Regularly execute test cases, capture results, and collaborate with developers to analyze and resolve defects.
  • Participate in code reviews and pair programming to contribute to a culture of high-quality software engineering.
  • Engage in design and grooming sessions to identify "testability" issues early in the development lifecycle.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and techniques to enhance coverage and accelerate test creation.
  • Maintain clear documentation for test cases, exploratory reports, and internal best practices.

Essential Criteria

  • 1-2 years of experience working as an SDET, QA Engineer, or similar role. ● Proficiency in Playwright for E2E automation, preferably using TypeScript or JavaScript. ● Practical experience designing and maintaining unit and integration tests (using tools like Jest, Mocha, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with manual exploratory testing and a willingness to actively engage in exploratory and ad hoc testing sessions.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build systems (Microsoft DevOps).
  • Strong understanding of software development and testing fundamentals ● Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for quality. ● Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with shift-left testing methodologies

Desirable Criteria

  • Exposure to AI-powered tools or frameworks for automated test generation or execution
  • Previous experience with API testing (REST).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
  • Basic experience with performance testing.
  • Accessibility testing
