The Role 

As a Senior Product Designer at Farther, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our innovative wealth advisor platform. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive, impactful, and accessible designs that help wealth advisors manage and grow their clients' portfolios. We’re looking for a passionate and creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.

Your Impact 

  • Lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery to prototyping, ensuring alignment with the needs of wealth advisors, their clients, and internal teams
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to define user-focused features and drive impactful design solutions
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to iterate and improve design concepts
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visual designs to bring ideas to life
  • Maintain and evolve the design system for consistency across all touch points
  • Foster a culture of design excellence and provide feedback to elevate team skills
  • Champion a design-first mindset, balancing user needs with business objectives

The Ideal Match 

  • 5+ years of experience as a product designer, with a portfolio demonstrating work on web and mobile platforms
  • Experience designing for fintech, wealth management, or financial services
  • Proven experience leading the design of complex, data-driven products with a focus on user experience
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and other design tools
  • Expertise in user research, usability testing, and iterative design
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to present design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus Points 

  • Familiarity with front-end development and effective collaboration with scrum teams.
  • Experience with design systems and understanding the value of consistency in design.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • Experience mentoring and leading designers in a fast-paced startup environment.
