Robot Safety Intern

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general-purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.

We are looking for a Robot Safety Intern to assist in preparing documentation and conducting tests to support robot safety and compliance development leading to certification by third party. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assisting the Product Safety team in collecting documentation and performing tests. 

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a School of Engineering at an accredited university.
• Availability for ten weeks minimum.  
• Knowledge in Microsoft office 
• Document organization 
• Willingness to learn and be curious 
• Basic engineering understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems

Bonus Qualifications: 

• Knowledge in engineering tools such as CAD and FEA 
• Knowledge in electrical design
• Knowledge in machinery safety responsibilities of Users/Employers
• Knowledge in regulations for industrial or consumer product safety
