Senior User Research Manager - 12month Contract

Does this sound like you? 

A Senior User Research Manager who has ample experience in implementing UR practices in scale ups. You are a big advocate for mentorship, and you love coaching more junior members of the team to enable their growth and success.  

What you’ll do: 

This role reports into our Head of UX and will be a key player in increasing our UX maturity and driving a better understanding of how important User Insight driven decisions are. You will be overseeing out research roadmap to coordinate appropriate user studies that will help us really understand our client's needs.  

  • Support the Head of UX to deliver the operational and capability strategy. 
  • Manage a small team of user researchers, helping them thrive and do their best work, supporting hiring of new team members as required
  • Ensure we get the most robust and impactful insight from user research by balancing qualitative and quantitative methodologies
  • Develop and maintain a Research Ops strategy to continuously improve performance & efficiency.
  • Set the delivery and maintenance of ongoing user research across Tribes, to enable Tribes to make business/ product decisions, based on evidence & insights, to meet their OKRs
  • Work with key stakeholders across the organisation to drive client-centered thinking and insight within the organisation
  • Drive business cases for sub-function to enhance research capability and demonstrate ROI.
  • Evolving our personas and driving other customer profiling techniques with stakeholders.
  • Ensuring we have clear UX benchmarks for competitors and awareness of trends in the ‘Fintech’ market. 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Expertise in User Centred Design, Usability, Information Architecture and Interaction Design.
  • Experience in User Research, qual and quant, knowing how to collaborate with other functions for data & experimentation.
  • Running research at a ‘programme’ level, having already mastered ‘studies’ in your career.
  • Experience with Research Ops, optimising tooling and processes.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of high performing motivated teams
  • Multiple years experience in communicating and influencing key stakeholders
  • Ideally experience running user research in an agile product environment, with domain knowledge in finance or another highly complex sector.
