Automotive Accounts Receivable Clerk
Your Next Opportunity Awaits at Fletcher Jones Management West. We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our centralized Regional Business Office team!
In this role, the Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for processing and checking documents for accuracy, validity, and completion in conformance with established procedures. This position also records payments to customer accounts and maintains accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive, working to minimize outstanding account balances, accelerate collections, and reduce bad debt.

Responsibilities
- Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Complete daily bank deposits, posting into accounting all monies from, Service, Parts, and Finance.
- Follow up on extended warranty payments, (re)submits claim when necessary.
- Submits past due accounts to collection agency or attorney, as required.
- Reconciles receivable customer payments to open balances.
- Provides statements to receivable customers and maintains assigned accounts.
- Identifies, investigates, and corrects discrepancies on assigned accounts.
- Maintain proper documentation of all collection efforts for any past due accounts
- Verifies and distributes all supplies to proper departments and storage areas
- Assigns all receivable accounts to new approved customers.
- Completes credit application screenings for prospective charge accounts.
- Monitors machinery and credit card machine problems for the Business Office.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of confidential personal information of our customers in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Safeguards Rule, implementing the provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act as they pertain to automobile dealerships and adhere to all other company rules, policies and procedures as stated in the employee handbook.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in a dealership business office is strongly preferred.
- Ability to multi-task with competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative nature.
Pay: $21 - $24 / hour
