Event & Field Marketing Lead, GTM

New York, New York, United States

Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2025 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?

We're seeking a strategic and creative Event & Field Marketing Lead to build and scale a best-in-class events program that drives pipeline, deepens customer relationships, and elevates the Flex brand. In this role, you'll own the end-to-end strategy and execution of in-person and virtual events—while also developing integrated marketing campaigns that amplify our presence and spotlight customer voices.

You’ll collaborate across Sales, Customer Success, and Brand Marketing to plan memorable experiences, identify and prep customer advocates, and ensure every event delivers measurable impact. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a passion for storytelling, and knows how to turn logistics into strategic opportunities.

You’re a hands-on event expert, willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done right – and on time. You’re a storyteller at heart constantly thinking about creative ways to engage customers and prospects. You are extremely organized, have a meticulous attention to detail, and, perhaps most importantly, you are able to stay calm, cool, and collected under pressure or tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support integrated event campaigns that drive sales and customer marketing goals—including awareness, lead generation, retention, and customer advocacy.

  • Strategize with leadership and execute multichannel pre-, during-, and post-event marketing tactics to maximize reach, engagement, and conversion. This includes drafting messaging for event promotion and assets (ie: emails, landing pages),event email nurtures, and customer pitches for speaking opportunities.

  • Manage customer marketing initiatives for in-person and virtual events, including sourcing, coordinating, and promoting customer speakers and success stories. You will own our burgeoning webinar series, which includes planning, promoting, and hosting webinars.

  • Work closely with Customer Success and Sales to identify ideal customer advocates for panels, research or testimonials, and webinars.

  • Develop thought-provoking speaking topics, and craft compelling, tailored submissions for conferences, panels, and other speaking opportunities.

  • Brief and prepare customer speakers and internal spokespeople ahead of events to ensure alignment on messaging, delivery, and audience engagement.

  • Collaborate with content and design teams to create compelling messaging and materials that elevate Flex’s presence at events.

  • Execute localized event programs to deepen engagement with prospects and customers in key markets; proactively research and plan how to optimize these events for maximum success

  • Ensure all events are on-brand, from booth design to talking points to follow-up nurture sequences.

  • Measure and report on campaign and event performance, including contribution to pipeline, influenced revenue, and partner/customer engagement.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of event management experience in a B2B or B2B2C industry.
  • Strong project management and organization skills.
  • Understanding of the marketing funnel and how events support demand generation.
  • Hands on experience using Google Suite, HubSpot, Salesforce, and virtual event platforms (ie: Hopin, Zoom webinar).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer-facing presence and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Action-oriented and a willingness to embrace learning through experimentation in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.
  • Ability to think beyond logistics and execute events as part of a broader marketing campaign strategy.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to identify, coordinate, and prepare customer advocates for public-facing opportunities

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
