Senior Associate, Risk Ops

About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate, Risk Ops to join the Risk Operations team at Flex. This role will support the credit domain and will focus on scaling key credit risk initiatives such as direct deposit and income verification. Plus, the role will play a key role in standing up operational processes for new credit initiatives (i.e. cash flow underwriting).
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new and existing credit risk initiatives; ensure SOPs are aligned with credit policy and risk objectives Train supporting BPO team on procedures and monitor the team for accuracy and quality through regular reviews and performance checks
- Monitor contact rates, support tickets, and customer complaints to identify high-friction experiences; escalate insights to stakeholders to ensure credit risk policies and the product experience are effective in not driving unnecessary customer pain
- Collaborate closely with the support team to ensure they are equipped with the appropriate macros, FAQs, and training materials to effectively address customer questions related to credit risk initiatives
- Identify and drive process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce errors, and limit customer contacts
- Conduct root cause analyses on operational issues and escalate insights to appropriate teams for resolution
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in operations, risk operations, or a related function within financial services
- Proven ability to implement and manage operational processes with a high degree of precision
- Analytical mindset with experience tracking operational KPIs and synthesizing data to inform decision-making
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a track record of working effectively with product and customer support teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight
- Comfortable using Google Sheets for logging and tracking data, familiarity with basic formulas is a plus
The salary compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range will be $85,000 - $96,000 USD
