Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

The Platform & Integrations team plays a critical role in this mission by building and supporting vendor integrations with systems like Revenue Management, Departure Control, and Loyalty Management, as well as third-party supplier integrations for ancillary services such as hotels, car rentals, and activities. This team drives seamless connectivity across the airline ecosystem and ensures interoperability between OOMS and external systems.

As a Senior Technical Product Owner on the Platform & Integrations team, you will drive the strategy, development, and delivery of both vendor integrations and third-party supplier integrations for OOMS. This includes defining and managing standardized interfaces, ensuring seamless data exchange, and enabling a robust ecosystem for airline partners. Additionally, you will oversee the development of tools and resources, such as a developer portal, to empower external and internal teams to integrate effectively with FLYR’s platform.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

Vendor Integrations

  • Develop and execute the product strategy for integrations with critical external systems, including Revenue Management, Departure Control, Loyalty Management, and other airline technology platforms.
  • Define and maintain standardized interfaces to support seamless interoperability and ensure data quality across integrations.

Third-Party Supplier Integrations

  • Build and enhance integrations with suppliers of ancillary products such as hotels, car rentals, and activities to expand OOMS capabilities.
  • Ensure integrations support real-time data exchange, inventory management, and transaction flows (e.g., Shop-Buy-Pay-Change-Exchange-Cancel).

Product Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of integration products, from requirement definition to delivery.
  • Manage the product backlog, prioritize development efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business and technical goals.

Developer Enablement

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of a developer portal to provide tools, documentation, and resources for seamless integration with FLYR’s standard interfaces.
  • Enable the developer community with clear API specifications, sample use cases, and guidance for building custom integrations.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for integration-related projects, facilitating collaboration between internal teams, external vendors, and suppliers.
  • Present updates, roadmaps, and outcomes to leadership and other key stakeholders.

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • Experience: 6+ years as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or similar role, with a focus on system and API integrations.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Deep understanding of API-driven integrations and real-time data exchange protocols.
    • Experience with scalable integration solutions supporting both vendor and supplier ecosystems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in travel, transportation, or enterprise software with an understanding of external system and supplier integrations.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex product roadmaps effectively.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Optional Carry-On (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in building and maintaining developer portals or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with travel industry standards (e.g., NDC, ONE Order, AIDX).
  • Hands-on experience with managing integrations for both vendor systems and third-party suppliers in a travel or aviation context.
