The Role:

As a Senior Report Program Generator (RPG) Programmer, you will be responsible for documenting, analyzing, and maintaining complex record keeping primarily focused on back-office software. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing programs, collaborating with internal cross-functional teams to understand requirements, develop robust solutions, and ensure seamless integration with our existing platforms. You will be an integral part in the continued efforts bridging our existing legacy technology with our future next generation fintech platform.  

In-office Requirements: This is a hybrid role that requires you to be in-office at least 2-3 days a week in our San Mateo Office 

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct comprehensive system analysis and create and/or maintain extensive documentation in support future capability development.
  • Collaborate with internal business teams to modify existing RPG programs and develop new ones, aligning with evolving business requirements.
  • Migrate reports, data, and programs to new internal systems, enhancing business capabilities and ensuring seamless integration.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software/job failures, ensuring continuous improvement and efficient workflows.
  • Analyze and understand legacy systems to develop innovative solutions, effectively merging old and new systems for improved performance. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Proven track record of collaborating with business teams to modify existing RPG programs and develop new ones, meeting evolving business needs. 
  • Proficiency in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving software/job failures, ensuring efficient workflows and continuous improvement.  
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting comprehensive system analysis and maintaining extensive documentation for future capability development.
  • Strong expertise in migrating reports, data, and programs to new internal systems, enhancing capabilities, and ensuring seamless integration.
  • Ability to analyze and understand legacy systems to develop innovative solutions that merge old and new systems for improved performance. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Extensive knowledge of HP MPE (Multi-Programming Executive) operating system
  • Previous experience building and maintaining Systems of Record related to Financial Services
  • Hands-on experience with modern technologies such as C#, Java, JavaScript, and/or Cloud Services 

For residents of San Francisco/Bay Area, CA the annual salary range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000 + annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors
