The Role: 

As the Director of Content Marketing, you will formulate an encompassing content strategy while excelling in financial content creation. You will orchestrate content programs across various customer segments and distribution channels, driving execution by leading and managing a dynamic team of freelancers to produce high-quality, impactful content crafted for our capital markets audience. You will oversee the editing of the various content forms including writing samples and blogs, while also taking on additional projects such as guidebook series. You will additionally manage and execute against our content calendar while analyzing and utilizing critical KPIs and metrics to ensure our content aligns with business objectives and resonates with our institutional investor audiences. 

Location: This is a hybrid role on a 1-3 day in-office schedule based out of our San Francisco, CA or Soho NYC, NY offices. Occasional travel between the two offices is required. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Own and execute the content strategy and editorial calendar that delivers world-class content across all formats and channels to Forge’s audience of financial institutions, sophisticated accredited investors, private tech company leaders, and employee shareholders.  
  • Drive new content creation through the origination of new reports, materials, and assets across short and long form content, advertising, video assets, sales materials, emails and print collateral. Create compelling content and manage a team of freelancers and agency writers to execute the content strategy.  
  • Lead content projects cross-functionally, partnering with teams in data analysis, production, design, sales and channel distribution.  
  • Scale content as a capability: Establish quarterly goals and calendars; track and measure ; scale the resourcing model across internal teams, freelancers, and agency partners; develop ways of partnering cross-functionally within Forge to drive business goals.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 8 years of experience leading content production management while owning and executing a content calendar  
  • 5+ years of experience leading, managing, and editing for freelance and/or agency writers focused on financial audiences 
  • Expertise in capital markets and financial markets, products, and services required to write and develop content catered to institutional investors, analyst or similar audiences
  • Proven ability to build an overall content strategy programs which are supported by individual content pieces  
  • Data Driven with a deep understanding of how to analyze, measure, and improve content's impact and performance 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FinTech or Financial Services startups experience preferred 
  • Experience with online tools (Pardot, ProcessWire, Heap) that enable the content program to scale effectively  
  • CFA or FINRA qualifications 

For residents of San Francisco/Bay Area, CA or New York, NY the annual salary range for this role is $175,000 - $185,000 + annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors
