
Data Strategy and Governance - Sr. Consultant
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant - Data Governance & Strategy with strong experience in Collibra to help organizations establish and mature enterprise data governance capabilities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing governance frameworks, implementing data management strategies, driving business adoption, and delivering Collibra-based solutions that improve data quality, compliance, metadata management, and business value realization.
This role requires a blend of strategic consulting, stakeholder management, and hands-on Collibra implementation experience to support data-driven transformation programs across diverse industries.
What You'll Work On
- Lead data governance assessments and maturity evaluations.
- Define enterprise data governance operating models, policies, standards, and processes.
- Develop data governance roadmaps aligned with business and regulatory objectives.
- Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders to define governance requirements.
- Design and implement data stewardship and data ownership frameworks.
- Drive adoption of data governance practices across business units.
- Lead end-to-end implementation and enhancement of Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
- Configure and manage:
- Data Catalog
- Data Governance Center
- Data Marketplace
- Data Quality & Observability integrations
- Business Glossary
- Data Lineage
- Reference Data Management
- Create and maintain governance workflows using Collibra Workflow Designer.
- Configure metadata ingestion and integrations with enterprise data platforms.
- Design and maintain operating models within the Collibra ecosystem.
- Establish metadata management, data quality, and master data management practices.
- Define business glossaries, critical data elements, and data lineage requirements.
- Implement data quality metrics, scorecards, and monitoring processes.
- Partner with data engineering, analytics, architecture, security, and compliance teams.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Business Analytics, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Strategy.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing and administering Collibra.
- Strong understanding of:

- Translate business priorities into actionable governance strategies, operating models, and implementation roadmaps.
- Advise clients on industry best practices, emerging trends, and governance maturity improvements.
- Work within cross-functional teams consisting of data architects, engineers, analysts, security, compliance, and business representatives.
- Facilitate governance councils, working groups, and stakeholder workshops to drive consensus and decision-making.
- Build strong partnerships across global and regional teams to ensure consistent governance adoption.
- Hybrid and client-facing environment with collaboration across India and global teams.
- Agile delivery approach with iterative releases and continuous stakeholder engagement.
- Strong focus on knowledge sharing, mentorship, and development of junior consultants.
- Commitment to delivering business value through data governance, data quality, and data intelligence initiatives.
