Research Analyst
Reports to: VP, Research
Location: NYC
We are seeking a Research Analyst with expertise in Excel and quantitative analysis to join the Fortune Higher Education Lists and Rankings team, that is responsible for Fortune's signature rankings methodologies and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, creation, and publication of quantitative lists—both existing and new—using sophisticated research and Excel techniques.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, market segments, and insights for internal use and for clients and partners.
- Manage and execute email-based correspondence with partners to reach data collection goals
- Support content creation by providing data-driven insights to editorial, marketing, and sales teams.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in research, data analysis, or a related field.
- Meticulous organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of business metrics and data strongly preferred.
- Experience with the Higher Education industry a plus.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulae as well as the ability to use research tools
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute to overall team projects.
- Strong quantitative analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Degree in Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
Salary
For this role the estimated base salary range, depending on level of experience, is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
This role has a 5 day in the office requirement.
