Benefits Specialist
Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firm in the US, is adding a Benefits Specialist to The Westport Group (TWG) team in the Boston Region.
This is a full-time in-office position in Braintree, MA.
Entry-level opportunity for Recent Grads!
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with clients, brokers, and carriers while developing expertise in High-Limit Long-Term Disability (LTD), Individual Disability Insurance (IDI), Group Universal Life (GUL), Group Variable Universal Life (GVUL).
This position offers exposure to various aspects of account management/client service, underwriting, and operations—setting you up for long-term success in the industry!
Key Responsibilities:
- Support client accounts by assisting with new case implementation, annual renewals, underwriting coordination, and implementation planning
- Be the point of contact—communicate with clients, brokers, carriers, and insured individuals
- Process new applications, track requirements, and help facilitate policy administration
- Coordinate invoices, additions, and terminations to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Analyze data, generate reports, and assist with reconciliation tasks
- Resolve client service issues with a problem-solving mindset
- Serve as a key member of a motivated and dynamic production team that prioritizes client service while directly impacting TWG’s success
- Collaborate with senior team members and get hands-on training in benefits administration
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel to support reporting and reconciliation needs
- Ability and motivation to quickly learn new skills
- Comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Comfortable switching between clients and tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, well organized and responsive
