The Opportunity:
Freestone is seeking a full-time Investor Relations Associate or Senior Associate to join our investment team. This is a unique and dynamic role that supports operations across our entire investment platform, offering a strong foundation for career development and advancement.
The hire will collaborate closely with internal investment professionals, finance and accounting, operations, marketing, and client advisory teams. This cross-functional exposure provides an exceptional opportunity to build a broad and influential internal network.
The position focuses on supporting both public and private market offerings, with responsibilities spanning fund operations, investor communications, data management, and project execution. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to develop a deep understanding of alternative and traditional investment strategies.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Marketing: Develop and coordinate the preparation of presentations and other documents to support the investment team, both internal and external, such as:
- Marketing presentations for current and prospective clients;
- Monthly firm-wide updates on investment performance and macro-economic trends;
- Monthly Investment Committee packages and minutes;
- Monthly reporting to the alternative funds’ banking partners;
- Quarterly and annual investment update letters to clients; and
- Internal and external thought pieces and white papers on financial markets and investment trends
- Operations Execution: Ensure operational best practices through strong project management skills with direct responsibility for weekly, monthly, and quarterly deliverables
- Technology Management: Administer and continue to expand the team’s utilization of SharePoint and our other investment management software, primarily through Bloomberg, Morningstar, and Backstop
- Research: Manage the team’s library of research resources, identifying key insights for the broader team
- Special Projects: Perform any such duty as necessary to support Freestone’s investment program
Qualifications and Experience:
- 1-5 years of experience in a related field, although we will consider exceptional graduating seniors
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage projects independently and readiness to assume a high level of responsibility
- Proficiency multi-tasking and working across teams even when deadlines are tight and pressure is high
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Well-rounded academic background complemented with strong performance and challenging course selection
- Comfort receiving direct feedback in real-time
- Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions
- Proficiency working with various technology providers and the Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of complex financial concepts is preferred
- Ability to focus in an open office environment

- Expected base salary for this position is $78,000 - $90,000 depending on experience and skill set
