New

Technical/Engineering Lead

The Philippines (Remote), India (Remote)

About Frontier

Frontier is a subsidiary of Fresh Prints. Fresh Prints is a New York-based, fast-growing, fully remote, 150-person company with most of our team based in India and the Philippines. A few years ago, Fresh Prints began helping other fast-growing companies build their teams. We got so good at it that we spun out a new company to focus exclusively on that — and called it Frontier.

At Frontier, we help companies grow full-time, cross-functional teams abroad. We hire the smartest people and place them into the best companies. In three years, we’ve never lost a client. If you’re interested in a Frontier role and you apply and are accepted, we’ll screen you through a couple of internal interviews and aim to get you an interview for a full-time job within the month. Think of us as your personal talent agent — and good luck with the application! 😊

We are a startup with growing pains and accumulating technical debt; this role will aid in enhancing code quality, code deployment, information security and privacy, scalability and interoperability, performance, and observability.

    Responsibilities

    • Tech Ops

      • Define an incident management playbook and retrospective as needed.

      • Environment and engineering tooling triage.

    • Technical Leadership

      • Act as a partner with the product lead and others to understand the corporate strategy and goals to better form a POV, raise concerns, and craft implementation plans.

      • Work alongside product and design to understand the tech debt and infrastructure roadmap.

      • Provide mentorship and leadership to the contract engineering team.

      • Work with the product lead to understand and define InfoSec, DevOps, QA, integration, and data strategies for the given user base.

    Key Initiatives

    • End-to-end infrastructure and application assessment to highlight critical, high, medium, low needs when considering our strategic priorities.

    • QA strategy and execution including policies/practices and automated regression capabilities.

    • Evaluate the merits of automation, agentic, or AI-based services for engineering efficiency.

    • Lead architect or key influence for a new core application platform to transition away from Craft CMS.
