POSITION OVERVIEW
Global Atlantic Financial Company (a subsidiary of Global Atlantic Financial Group Limited) is seeking a candidate for the position of Associate, Business Finance Office in New York, NY. Responsibilities include:
- Produce analytical dashboard and reporting package that tracks investment performance for actual and expected investment income.
- Interface with organization as investment income leader and own oversight and tracking of investment income.
- Create synergies for analysis performed across asset classes, business segments and legal entities.
- Analyze ongoing investment office trading activity to develop more frequent assessment of investment income and associated drivers.
- Develop standardized business intelligence reporting on net investment income across all reporting hierarchies.
- Coordinate with business leaders on key assumptions and business drivers for planning and budgeting.
- Perform as finance investment income lead on Finance Transformation initiatives.
- Support the preparation of recurring and ad-hoc presentations to senior management, including the Board of Directors around investment income performance and key associated metrics.
- Implement a standard client centric support model across all stakeholders of investment income.
- Synthesize a holistic story on investment income performance and facilitate a deeper understanding and tracking of business drivers relative to financial projections.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Quantitative Management, or a related quantitative field.
- Three (3) years of experience in finance, insurance, consulting, or investment banking.
- Three (3) years of experience in the following:
- Working in Excel including advanced Excel functions for Data ETL & analysis and working with VBA.
- Dealing with large datasets and extracting business intelligence and performance stories, including but not limited to analysis on yield at CUSIP level and summarizing CUSIP level data into asset class view.
- Using Data Visualization Tools (such as Tableau and PowerBI) to produce business analytical dashboards by joining various data into reporting packages that help senior leaderships track performance.
- Project management skills to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to manage investment inputs, facilitate workshops, drive discussion, and create executive reporting packages for monthly and quarterly closing & forecasting processes.
- Understanding of accounting and financial statements, including financial accounting.
- Designing and optimizing forecasting analysis to present performance insights to senior leaders.
- Synthetizing business story and producing board-level quality PPT pages.
- Presenting in front of senior management.
