Who You Are:
You are an experienced and motivated Facilities Supervisor to support the operational readiness and day-to-day management of a state-of-the-art AI Data Center. This role is critical in ensuring that building infrastructure and environmental systems operate reliably, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and AI workload requirements.
You need to have 3–5 years of facilities or building operations experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, manufacturing, or other large-scale technical facilities. You will be a hands-on leader, coordinating maintenance teams, vendors, and contractors to maintain 100% uptime and optimal performance.
What You’ll Do:
Operations & Maintenance
- Supervise the daily operation of building systems including HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, liquid cooling infrastructure, fire/life safety, lighting, and plumbing.
- Monitor and ensure performance of facility systems supporting AI compute (e.g., precision cooling, high-density rack environments, humidity control)
- Lead shift technicians and vendors in performing scheduled and corrective maintenance.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to log work orders, inspections, and equipment status.
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule up to 12 hour shifts, including nights/weekends or on-call shifts as needed
Monitoring & Response
- Oversee environmental monitoring systems (BMS/EMS) to ensure proper system alerts, alarms, and responses are in place.
- Respond to alarms, troubleshoot system issues, and escalate incidents per SOPs.
- Support root-cause analysis and post-incident reporting for critical facility events.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, electrical/mechanical codes, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct routine safety audits, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills.
- Maintain all facility documentation, permits, and certifications.
Vendor & Project Coordination
- Supervise external contractors performing facility maintenance, inspections, and system upgrades.
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams during infrastructure build-out, retrofits, and commissioning activities.
- Support testing and acceptance of facility infrastructure related to AI workloads (e.g., liquid cooling loops, battery backup, or high-efficiency HVAC).
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of facility conditions, performance metrics, and maintenance history.
- Assist with budgeting and procurement for facility tools, consumables, and service contracts.
- Provide regular reporting on uptime, capacity, and facility health indicators.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in facility operations or building systems maintenance, preferably in mission-critical environments.
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, chilled water systems, fire/life safety, and mechanical maintenance.
- Familiarity with AI data center or high-density compute infrastructure is a strong plus.
- Proficient with building automation systems (BMS), EMS, and standard office applications.
- Experience with CMMS platforms and maintenance workflows.
Certifications
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety Certification
- NFPA 70E / Electrical Safety Certification
- LEED, IFMA CFM, or similar facility-related credential (a plus)

- Strong leadership and communication skills to direct shift teams and contractors.
- Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize in fast-paced, high-availability environments.
The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise.
