Who You Are:
You will be a experienced and driven Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the mechanical systems installation and commissioning for a high-performance AI Data Center. In this role, you will lead mechanical contractors, ensure proper execution of HVAC and liquid cooling systems, and contribute to the delivery of a mission-critical facility built for next-generation AI workloads.This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone with 3–5 years of experience in mechanical construction or facility operations within data centers, industrial sites, hospitals, or other high-availability environments.
What You’ll Do:
Construction Oversight
- Supervise the on-site installation of all mechanical systems, including:
- HVAC and chilled water systems
- CRAC/CRAH units
- Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers
- Liquid cooling loops for high-density compute
- Pumps, valves, piping, and associated infrastructure
- Ensure all systems are installed in accordance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.).
- Track and report daily progress, identify installation issues early, and coordinate resolution with contractors and engineering teams.
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule up to 12 hour shifts, including nights/weekends or on-call shifts as needed.
Commissioning Support
- Assist in functional testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Participate in Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and ensure mechanical readiness for AI server deployment.
- Verify system performance under various load conditions to meet AI data center operational thresholds.
Quality & Safety Management
- Enforce site safety standards and ensure contractor compliance with OSHA, company safety protocols, and permit systems.
- Conduct mechanical quality checks and inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet specifications.
- Manage redlines, punch lists, and close-out documentation for mechanical scope.
Vendor & Coordination
- Coordinate work with general contractors, HVAC specialists, and other trades (electrical, IT, fire protection) to resolve spatial conflicts and ensure schedule alignment.
- Oversee delivery and staging of mechanical equipment and materials.
- Support procurement tracking and installation verification.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in facility operations or building systems maintenance, preferably in mission-critical environments.
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, chilled water systems, fire/life safety, and mechanical maintenance.
- Familiarity with AI data center or high-density compute infrastructure is a strong plus.
- Proficient with building automation systems (BMS), EMS, and standard office applications.
- Experience with CMMS platforms and maintenance workflows.
Certifications
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety Certification
- NFPA 70E / Electrical Safety Certification
- LEED, IFMA CFM, or similar facility-related credential (a plus)

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise.
