We are looking for a P&L (Profit and Loss) Manager who plays a key role in overseeing the financial performance of a company’s products or business units. In the banking industry, this means closely tracking revenues, costs, and profitability for services like loans, deposits, or credit cards. This person acts as a strategic finance partner — helping leaders make informed decisions, optimize margins, and ensure sustainable growth. The P&L Manager translates financial data into actionable insights, balancing financial health with business goals.
You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, product owners, finance teams, and commercial stakeholders to monitor financial performance, analyze deviations, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
What you’ll do:
- Knowledge to build and manage business P&L and build reports to share with senior management
- Analyze data from various sources to compile a comprehensive picture of the overall business operational performance utilizing SQL, Python, Snowflake, and Tableau
- Develop periodic reports on a wide range of strategic and tactical analysis
- Develop recommendations and prepare written and oral presentations to senior management
- Ensure adequacy and accuracy of reporting by applying business knowledge and data analysis
- Develop performance measurements and analytical tools to improve operations
- Establish and manage business P&L and build reports to share with senior management
- Understand technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance
- Gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trending future requirements and operating forecasts.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or P&L management, ideally in the banking or fintech sector.
- Strong understanding of banking products and revenue/cost structures.
- Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling; experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, SQL intermediate level).
- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting principles and regulatory reporting standards.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive, business-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience working in fast-paced or regulated environments is a strong plus.
US-Based Base Compensation
$76,800 - $144,000 USD
