Business Intelligence Summer Internship

Are you interested in back-end development of data warehouses and semantic layer? Do you want real life experience integrating data from multiple sources to data lake and building processes to support the reporting layer in the data warehouse? Then the Business Intelligence Intern role may be the job for you! This position will work in Gas South’s Information Technology Office. Under general supervision and working with the business intelligence team, will assist with all the aspects of report, development and data processing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Development of new Reports and enhancements to existing reports in Power BI based on user requirements.
• Help transform data into usable information based on the business need
• Work with Reporting Analyst and the development team to enhance the data structures used for reporting.
• Assist with Report validation and Ensure Data Accuracy.
• Assist with preparing and loading of data from various sources for analysis.
• Collaborate with Business users to understand their data needs and provide solution.
• Present reporting solutions to Business users and seek feedback for continuous improvement.

Education/Experience:

• Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Intelligence or a related field.
• Good Knowledge of SQL and Database concepts
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI
• Understanding or exposure to the following technologies are a plus:             
• • Microsoft Azure
  • SQL Server

• Experience with working in Agile / Fast Paced Development Environment.
• Deadline oriented with proven task-completion record
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
