Role Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated experienced scientific leader with a multi-disciplinary background in the areas of cellular and molecular biology, instrumentation and automation. This position will involve research and collaboration with external scientists and engineers to develop integrated molecular biology tools and their applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead from the bench to drive the design of molecular biology products and applications on chip.
- Innovate to lead the next generation gene synthesis technology with simplified process, enhanced quality and safety profile. Innovate through develop new synthesis technologies, and related assay methods.
- Lead new product development to expand service capability and scope, including but not limit to gene and library assembly technologies, and cell free DNA amplification and synthesis technologies.
- Lead tech transfer for research project’s translation, collaborate with manufacturing team and quality team to ensure a successful product launch and continuous process improvement in an ISO 9001 compliant environment.
- Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and resolving production bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Work in a cross-functional team to propose, design, plan, operate, and perform experiments in research and development projects
- Work collaboratively with partners in engineering, chemistry and other key functions to transform research results into a competitive platform technology.
- Critical evaluate experiment data and communicate scientific findings as verbal presentations and written reports,and provide updates on project status.
- Perform statistical data analysis and present the results
- Mentor and train junior team members
Qualifications:
- Phd. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, or related biomedical field; minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated track record of success in assay and product development, ideally including microarray or multi-omic platforms.
- Proficient in a broad range of cellular and molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid analysis and manipulation, primer/probe design, enzymatic assays (PCR, qPCR, dPCR, ddPCR, RCA, MDA), single-cell sequencing, ELISA, binding/affinity assays, and cell culture.
- Strong knowledge and experience with automation platforms and tools for high-throughput assay development.
- Proven ability to lead collaborative interdisciplinary research initiatives with a goal-oriented, innovative, and hands-on mindset.
- Excellent documentation skills with experience preparing data summaries, technical/scientific reports, and transferring procedures to manufacturing.

Compensation:
Salary range: $100,000 – $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
