About GenScript Europe Division and Technical Account Representative job:

GenScript European division, headquartered in Rijswijk, Netherlands, with a branch office in Oxford, UK, was established in 2019 to serve as a hub for commercial, technical support, and logistics in the European and UK regions. In 2025, we reached a significant milestone with the launch of our new production facility in Delft, Netherlands - an expansion that reinforces our long-term commitment to operational excellence and enhanced service delivery for our EU clients. Are you a recent graduate with a Master's or PhD in Life Sciences, and confident with your laboratory skills in fields such as cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, or molecular biology? Are you ready to get into your first job in biotech industry? GenScript Europe is on the lookout for a Technical Account Representative to become an integral part of our vibrant team, acting as the bridge between our customers and internal teams. You’ll work closely with our Sales team, Production, Project Management, Marketing, Logistics, Finance departments, engage in preliminary discussions with customers to understand customer projects in depth, and provide accurate, customized quotations and solutions that reflect their needs. This is a unique opportunity to combine your scientific expertise with customer-facing experience in a fast-growing biotech environment.

Working Scheme: Hybrid in Oxford, UK

Working Time: 40 hours per week.

Contract Duration: Fixed term for 2 years.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Take full charge of the daily operation of the customer service function that handles all initial inquiries from customers, dealers, and the general public regarding order placement, complaints, technical support and etc.
• Provide primary technical advice to customers with practical information and tools; identify and interpret customers’ requirements, shape these requirements to fit the business unit’s capabilities, and communicate these to customers.
• Work closely with the business unit Sales Account Manager as a consultant to clients in technical matters and improve customer satisfaction.
• Attends trade/technical shows and gives technical presentations to customers.

What We Expect From You

• Solid professional technical background, minimum master's degree in relevant life science fields including but not limited to cell biology, immunology, biochemistry and molecular biology.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including DNA cloning, plasmid preparation, protein expression (E. coli, HEK, CHO, insect, and cell-free systems), protein purification, Western Blot, and ELISA.
• Fluent in English is a must.
• Good communication and presentation skills with technical content.
• Customer-focused, proactive/action-oriented.
• Previous industry experience in a similar commercial role will be advantageous but is not essential.
