Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Asset Tracking who will drive the strategic direction, vision, and execution for Geotab’s global asset tracking portfolio. This is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for discovering, developing, and cultivating end-to-end solutions that track more than just vehicles—ranging from trailers and containers to heavy equipment and high-value tools. If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As a Senior Product Manager, Asset Tracking, your key area of responsibility will be overseeing product development from conception to launch across multiple products or segments, building customer intelligence to advance product strategy, and guiding teams to influence the broader product vision. You will need to work closely with Geotab’s UX designers, developers, technical project managers, data scientists, and senior leadership across the organization.

To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, a good listener who is empathetic and enjoys interacting with customers, and a team player capable of engaging with all levels of the organization. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a strategic mindset to prioritize high-impact opportunities, and a well-defined sense of diplomacy for negotiation and relationship management.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Strategic Vision: Own and drive the end-to-end strategic vision for the Asset Tracking roadmap, ensuring alignment with Geotab’s long-term business goals and global growth strategy.
  • Customer Discovery & Insights: Lead high-impact discovery initiatives, conducting interviews with prospective/existing partners and customers to uncover "jobs to be done," refine value propositions, and identify common patterns across disparate market segments.
  • Prioritization & Roadmap Management: Define and manage prioritization frameworks that balance short-term sales targets with long-term strategic investments, ensuring the team builds what matters most.
  • Lifecycle Execution: Oversee the translation of customer needs into detailed epics and initiatives, collaborating closely with UX designers, developers, and technical project managers to move products from discovery through launch.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Regularly communicate the "Why" behind product efforts at senior leadership forums and cross-departmental meetings while building strong relationships with sales, marketing, and the partner ecosystem.
  • Feedback & Iteration: Design and implement feedback loops at scale, analyzing post-launch qualitative and quantitative data to continuously iterate on simplicity, ease of use, and customer satisfaction.
  • Framework Contribution: Contribute to the enhancement of Geotab’s product management frameworks, mentoring other team members and fostering a culture of excellence in product discovery and validation.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 5 - 8 years of required previous experience in product management and/or customer discovery.
  • Previous experience in Asset Tracking, Telematics, or IoT is highly valued.
  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree or equivalent work experience; specialization in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field is highly valued.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and familiar with customer success tools like Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve and make well-judged decisions based on data.
  • Proven ability to pivot as market landscapes change and a keen sense for prioritizing high-impact opportunities.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including international travel.
If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.

Geotab’s Voluntary Self-Identification Survey

Geotab is committed to fair and equitable treatment for all, and fostering a culture that embraces diversity and inclusion throughout the hiring process and beyond. At Geotab, our unique company culture is built upon the value of “always do the right thing” which is embraced by employees around the world. As a global organization, we continuously seek ways in which we can support both our staff and our communities through programs and partnerships focused on empowering diversity and prioritizing inclusion.

We invite you to complete this optional survey to help us evaluate our diversity and inclusion efforts. Submission of the information on this form is strictly voluntary. Opting not to participate will not impact your job application in any way. Information obtained will not be associated with your name or job application in any identifiable manner. This information will be kept secure and confidential and will be used solely to evaluate our diversity and inclusion efforts. The information collected in this survey is only available to HR staff and Geotab data scientists to view in aggregated data format and not on an individual basis. Your answer will be maintained confidential and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making hiring decisions.

Note to USA Applicants: This is a separate survey from the EEO-1 Voluntary Self Identification Form used in the United States for compliance purposes. We feel that the options found in the mandated survey do not encompass the rich diversity of our applicants, and as such strive to provide additional responses that reflect the landscape more accurately.
