About the Role

We’re looking for a Technical Analyst who’s passionate about uncovering insights that matter. In this role, you’ll help transform complex information into clear insights, empowering our clients to act with confidence. You’ll partner closely with product managers, business leaders, and engineers to understand their needs, translate them into precise data requirements, and deliver scalable, decision-intelligence assets that turn possibility into progress.
You’ll be instrumental in augmenting data accessibility for customers, and contributing to a growing data-centric culture. Your insights will enable our clients with actionable data insights that unlock efficiency and revenue opportunities
Responsibilities
- Assist in the definition, organization, and delivery of data products that drive insights and decision-making for Built customers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and build reporting solutions in Sigma that serve analytics customers.
- Work alongside data engineers to ensure that curated datasets in Snowflake/dbt meet analytical and performance needs
- Develop internal metrics and dashboards to provide observability into data availability, reliability, and user adoption
- Partner with engineering teams to enable embedded data experiences in our customer’s application experience
- Lead the delivery of reporting solutions on new product initiatives
- Help standardize analytics workflows and contribute to documentation, reusability, and governance of reporting assets
- Actively contribute to a collaborative team culture by participating in cross-functional planning, demos, and retrospectives
- Offer guidance and mentorship to other analysts and business users on best practices in Sigma, metric design, and data interpretation
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2–3 years of experience working in a data analyst or BI role
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with relational data modeling
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Sigma or a similar BI tool (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
- Exposure to Snowflake or another modern cloud data warehouse
- Familiarity with dbt or similar data transformation tools (understanding their role in enabling reporting)
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage tasks with minimal oversight
- Experience applying data product thinking — treating dashboards and metrics as reusable, maintained assets
- A desire to work in a collaborative, customer-focused environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing or contributing to embedded analytics in a product or customer-facing application
- Familiarity with TypeScript and/or Node.js, especially in the context of building or supporting embedded dashboard integrations
- Understanding of AWS-based architectures, especially services relevant to frontend delivery or serverless integrations (e.g., S3, Lambda)
- Operational excellence mindset, with familiarity using Terraform for infrastructure as code and Datadog for monitoring/reporting observability
- Exposure to agile development practices and cross-functional project delivery
Built’s salary range for this position is $85,000-$120,000 USD per year. The pay range is designed to accommodate upward mobility in the role, therefore it encompasses the full span of proficiency levels for this role and we believe that the midpoint of the range is competitive in the market. Salary is just one component of Built's total compensation package for employees.
