Givens Highland Farms, a premier non-profit senior living community in Black Mountain, is looking for an Executive Director to bring strong leadership and guidance to our beautiful campus. The primary purpose of your job position is to carry out Board-approved goals and objectives as directed by the CEO and COO for Givens Highland Farms; provide leadership and general management of the community organization, including strategic planning and the annual update of the strategic plan, finances, operations, personnel, etc. The Executive Director has primary responsibility for facilities, environmental services, resident services, healthcare, dining, and to ensure alignment with Givens Communities.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with the Givens Communities CEO, COO, and CFO to establish organizational vision, strategic direction, financial forecasting and capital replacement planning, and participates in the development and updates of the Strategic Plan, based on agreed upon goals, objectives, and priorities
- Work with senior management and managers to implement the strategic long-range plan, annual budget, and the annual plan consistent with strategic goals and objectives of the organization
- Oversee the daily operations of the Givens Highland Farms campus, working closely with Department Directors and Managers to ensure resident, family, and team member satisfaction
- Ensure that staffing levels do not exceed budget in all departments and in health care are adjusted to the actual census levels in health services areas
- Ensure all standards in health services areas are met to obtain or maintain a 5-star rating
- Implement, manage, and evaluate current operational processes and procedures in accordance with standards of procedures set out by the organization and in collaboration with Department Directors
- Meet personally with community residents and families to discuss Givens Highland Farms operations and/or resolve customer concerns/comments/preferences as needed
- Participate in Quality Improvement surveys and in development/implementation of appropriate plans of action to correct deficiencies
- Work closely with Human Resources and Training and Development to ensure that consistency in policy implementation and compliance occurs
- Review resident and team member concerns/complaints and maintains written records of actions taken
- Establish, maintain and support the efforts of the Residents Council
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
What you'll need:

Must be, as a minimum, graduated from an approved college or university with a bachelor’s degree in finance, health care administration, business, or other related discipline or possess leadership experience in a Life Plan Community
- Must have, as a minimum, three to five years’ experience with non-profit organizations with documented track record of successful operations management, preferably Life Plan Community experience
- Proven ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting with demonstrated ability to supervise, lead and motivate clinical and administrative team members
- Ability to respond effectively to common inquirers, regulatory agencies, or members of the health care community
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical analysis, functions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
