About this Position
Globalization Partners’ legal team is growing! We are seeking a Legal Operations Associate who will support the legal e-billing process, as well as support the Legal Operations function and Global Legal strategy and projects.
In this role, you will serve as the internal owner of the Legal Department’s legal e-billing operations. You will coordinate with legal vendors and be the point person for our matter management and invoice system, vendor onboarding, and billing guideline enforcement. You will also support the implementation and upgrade of legal technology, including assisting with reviewing/assessing potential technology solutions, system launches, system upgrades, and product enhancements to support the technology strategy for the department. This role will also support projects and initiatives and provide general support for our global legal team.
What you'll do:
The ideal candidate will be customer focused, detail oriented, and collaborative. To excel at this role, you will need to be adept at project management, coordination and knowledge management. Previous experience establishing processes, creating instructions, conducting training, and creating efficiencies that reduce or eliminate roadblocks are highly valued. This role requires someone who can effectively work cross-functionally with members at all levels throughout the department as well as members of IT, AP, and Finance.
The candidate will have the depth of skills and experience needed to have primary responsibility for the following matters:
- Experience with legal technologies (invoice and matter management, DocuSign e-signature, and Jira issue tracking, etc.).
- Manage relationships with outside counsel e-billing personnel and support them on invoice submissions, system access, and onboarding.
- Work with AP and Finance teams to onboard vendors, and process and research invoices and payments.
- Develop processes and training materials and provide training on these new processes.
- Evaluate and monitor current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
What we're looking for:

Previous experience coordinating global outside counsel invoices for a corporate legal department and matters within a matter management and invoice system, such as Legal Tracker, Brightflag, or similar.

Experience working in a global corporate legal department with a complex entity structure.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite and experience with Google Office suite preferred.

Experience creating presentations and presenting.

Strong prioritizing, problem-solving, project management (from conception to completion) and planning skills.

Solutions driven, analytical with the ability to deliver to deadlines and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision from management.

Strategic and creative thinker, with excellent writing and communications skills.

Good interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of the organization, strong team-orientation, cultivating trust and strong relationships.
